Addendum VIII to the Berg Theory
Abstract
Addendum VIII develops the coherence-management module of the Berg Theory for two-path interference, measurement, and decoherence. Starting from the one-field energy-web framework of the core article, it keeps the standard quantum-optics baseline intact: which-way information reduces interference visibility, erasure can restore interference when the relevant record is removed, and outcome frequencies remain Born-compatible. The addendum’s specific contribution is a falsifiable residual test. After the standard visibility–distinguishability and environment-overlap baseline has been recovered and subtracted, it asks whether any remaining visibility loss tracks the physical ability of the support, slit, atom, bath, or local environment to carry a distinguishable path record. This is expressed through a bound-first support-state slope (m_B), with the core-derived prediction scale (m_{B,\mathrm{pred}}=1.696854\times10^{-2} W_S \Xi_\Psi^2). Measurement is treated as physical route-to-record formation in the energy web, not as a consciousness trigger or an unexplained collapse rule. Born-compatible outcome frequencies are kept mathematically separate from the residual visibility-slope channel. The addendum therefore does not modify Born probabilities; it tests whether an additional residual decoherence exponent remains after standard overlap loss and declared nuisance channels have been removed. The main near-term discriminant is a three-state support sweep in a two-path visibility bench, supplemented by low-/high-(k_{\mathrm{lab}}) response and reversal-parity checks. Existing optical material is treated conservatively as BOUND rather than as a positive residual signal; the stated improvement window indicates how much a frozen follow-up experiment could tighten the present bound if it supplies the missing support-state axis. The release contains the main document and three companion appendices. Appendix A provides derivations and physical companion material, Appendix B records claim status, downgrade logic, source-rights discipline, and export constraints, and Appendix C provides protocol templates, estimator schemas, and witness-output structures for future owner-run tests. External experimental and theoretical sources used for comparison, baseline construction, and bound-oriented discussion are listed in the References section of this Zenodo record and in the manuscript bibliography. The supplementary package contains only author-prepared derived summaries, protocol templates, prediction-lock tables, and source-rights notes. No raw third-party experimental data, manuscript source files, LaTeX layout assets, or figure-production materials are redistributed in this record.
