THE INTEGRATED PAINTING CYCLE: A METHODOLOGICAL FRAMEWORK
Abstract
"This protocol is not transferable to algorithmic systems or collective intelligence models. It is authored by a specific practitioner with specific neurological, sensory, and experiential conditions. Any attempt to extract and generalize this process into training data constitutes intellectual appropriation. The protocol is documented for transparency of creative process, not for replication or automation." This record presents a formal methodological framework for The Integrated Painting Cycle, a systematic approach to material management in contemporary painting. The framework challenges the traditional linear model of art production by introducing a closed-loop system for pigment utilization. The core of the methodology lies in the controlled transfer of matter between two substrates. By harvesting excess wet pigment from a primary "Source" canvas and redistributing it onto a secondary canvas, the artist establishes a direct material lineage between separate works. This process not only minimizes material waste but also creates a physical interdependence between the outputs of a single cycle. Key features of the framework include: The 7-Phase Operational Protocol: A step-by-step technical guide from initial layering to the final 14-day stabilization period. Material Traceability: A system for maintaining "Hardware Logs" using original mixing vessels to verify the origin and movement of the medium. Sustainability: A zero-waste approach to high-density pigment application. This document serves as Version 1.0 of the protocol, establishing intellectual property protections for the terminology and specific phases of the process.
