Abstract

AEGIS v12 is a protective system designed to remain effectively transparent to slow everyday movement while responding locally to fast, coherent threats. Sensors identify hazardous incoming motion, and the relevant part of the shell rapidly generates a regenerative capture field that uses much of the threat’s own kinetic energy to slow, stop, and safely redirect it. The protected interior remains normally accessible and largely unaffected, while conventional systems handle radiation, thermal, electrical, and other non-massive hazards.
