Abstract

This repository collects a set of standalone essays and exploratory papers examining the conditions under which cognition, discourse, learning, interpretation, and coordination remain viable—or fail—under inconsistency, ambiguity, and competing constraints. Each work addresses a familiar phenomenon in a distinct domain, reframing it as a structural problem rather than a purely psychological, moral, or motivational one. The papers are written to be read independently. They make no assumptions about a shared theory, framework, or prior reading, and they avoid prescriptive claims. Taken together, they explore how demands for coherence, explanation, abstraction, prediction, and stability interact with the capacity of individuals and systems to absorb them. Topics include dreaming, learning, argumentation, narrative structure, organizational practice, evaluability, persistence, and meaning formation. The common concern across these domains is not correctness or ideology, but navigability: how experience, interaction, interpretation, or coordination continues—or collapses—when global consistency is absent, incomplete, or prematurely enforced. These works are best understood as observational analyses, conceptual investigations, and exploratory studies. They are not manuals, policy recommendations, or how-to guides. Their purpose is to identify recurring structural patterns, clarify boundary conditions, and examine the consequences that follow when coherence succeeds, fails, or becomes impossible to maintain.
