Abstract

This paper is part of the Aetherium Conceptualization Phase, which develops the early ontology, coherence framework, and foundational intuitions of the Aetherium substrate. Note on Nomenclature Refinement: To fundamentally dissociate this modern, non-parametric framework from historical, long-debunked mechanical "aether" theories, this series marks a formal taxonomic transition. The foundational substrate previously introduced under the provisional name "Aetherium" is here formally established as the Hyleonic Substrate, and its underlying dynamic continuum is designated as the Syntonic Field. This updates the nomenclature to reflect a rigorous, relativistic pre-geometric architecture rather than a classical material fluid, ensuring absolute clarity in physical interpretation. The manuscript is aimed at explaining Hyleon in terms that are accessible to a general reader. In a broad sense, Hyleon offers a long-sought theory in physics: a way to unify quantum theory, information theory, and General Relativity under one conceptual framework. Astronomers use pulsars—ultra‑stable, rapidly spinning neutron stars—as cosmic clocks. Their pulses arrive with such precision that even nanosecond‑level changes can reveal new physics. But some pulsars show timing shifts that are too synchronized and too coherent to be explained by Einstein’s General Relativity alone. The Hyleonic framework proposes that these anomalies are not noise or dark‑matter effects, but signs of a deeper information‑bearing substrate beneath spacetime. This substrate can update its internal state faster than light, creating long‑range coherence that standard gravity cannot produce. These updates don’t violate relativity because they don’t transmit energy—only synchronization. The theory fits regions with strong pulsar timing coherence that also show unusual gravitational lensing, galaxy‑rotation behavior, and subtle directional variations in cosmic expansion. Hyleon offers a single explanation for phenomena currently attributed separately to dark matter and dark energy.
