GeoSIRR: Geological Section Interpretation, Reconstruction & Refinement
Abstract
GeoSIRR (Geological Section Interpretation, Reconstruction & Refinement) is an open-source Python Framework that leverages large language models (LLMs) to translate free-form geological narratives into structured, coordinate-based cross-section geometries. Version 1.0.1 adds Ollama as a local LLM provider alongside OpenAI, timestamped per-run output directories that record the prompt, generated section, plot, and runtime log, a repeated-generation uncertainty-quantification workflow with geometry-variability figures, standalone plotting of cross-section files with configurable layout, and non-interactive command-line execution.
