Abstract

ABSTRACT Trials and tribulations are among the established divine laws in the Holy Quran. They are a test from God Almighty for His servants to distinguish the sincere in their faith, to purify souls, and to refine human conduct. The Holy Quran has decreed that trials encompass all people without exception, and they come in the form of both good and bad. The Quran presents various forms of trials, including trials through afflictions such as poverty, illness, and fear; trials through blessings such as wealth, health, and power; trials through religious obligations; and trials through harm from others. The Quran also presents clear examples of the trials faced by the prophets, peace be upon them, as role models of patience and steadfastness. The Holy Quran shows us that trials are not a punishment, but a divine means of reform, education, and purification, and that the correct response to them is patience, reliance on God, and contentment with God's decree
