Abstract

We present a minimal model in which gravity is reinterpreted not as a geometricproperty of spacetime but as a distortion of the dark energy density field.Mass densities locally weaken the dark energy density, and these distortionsaccumulate over cosmological scales, producing classical gravitational potentials. In the weak-field, low-velocity limit, the model recovers General Relativity and isconsistent with CMB, BAO, SNIa, LSS, black holes, LHC, and Higgs observations. Moreover, the cumulative medium effect predicts small anisotropies in large-scalestructures, which can be tested with next-generation observations.
