Abstract

Today, services ranging from IT, financial services, logistics, and digital platforms to hospitality, healthcare, and education are becoming more and more important to the world economy. Knowing the fundamentals of service marketing is crucial now more than ever since service experiences are becoming key to creating value. Marketing of Services was created as a thorough and perceptive manual to assist students in understanding the distinctive traits, difficulties, and tactical possibilities that characterize the service industry. Services are experiential, ephemeral, unpredictable, and firmly anchored in human connection, in contrast to concrete goods. This increases the complexity and intricacy of marketing's job. By providing an organized examination of service marketing principles, the 7Ps framework, customer value generation, service design, demand management, relationship building, and service quality enhancement, this book seeks to reduce that complexity. Each chapter has been carefully designed to combine theoretical underpinnings with real-world examples that represent both contemporary digital service ecosystems and conventional service contexts. In a time when client expectations have skyrocketed, service providers need to set themselves apart not just by what they provide but also by how they do it. In order to create powerful service brands, this article emphasizes the significance of customer experience, frontline staff behavior, service recovery, technological integration, and trust-building. This book fosters critical thinking and gives readers the tools they need to plan, execute, and oversee service excellence. It is intended for MBA students, aspiring professionals, and service management learners.
