Integrative Theoretical System Studies: The Architecture of Coherence Volume 1
Abstract
Integrative Theoretical System Studies (ITSS): The Architecture of Coherence is a two-volume theoretical work that develops a comprehensive meta-systemic framework for restoring coherence across fragmented domains of modern knowledge. It addresses the epistemological disintegration of late modernity, the moral indeterminacy of postmodern thought, and the collapse of integrative frameworks capable of uniting ontology, epistemology, and axiology. The project introduces Integrative Realism as its central philosophical stance and articulates a multidimensional architecture through which reality, consciousness, culture, and value can be analyzed as interdependent systems rather than isolated domains. Drawing on systems theory, phenomenology, critical realism, and Buddhist psychology and philosophy, ITSS advances coherence as both an epistemic criterion and a moral necessity. Volume I – Foundations of Integrative Theoretical System Studies establishes the ontological, epistemological, and methodological ground of the framework. It develops the core meta-theoretical structures of ITSS, including Integrative System Theory (IST) and its principal analytical axes (IMS, DTS, BSI, DGA, CGT, and ECCF). This volume constructs the formal architecture of the system, moving from metaphysical unity to differentiated structures of consciousness, ideology, and culture. Volume II – Applications, Methodology, and Meta-Integration extends these foundations into applied analysis and reflexive synthesis. It examines how the theoretical architecture of ITSS manifests within historical, cultural, and ideological systems, with particular emphasis on processes of inversion, metastasis, and moral distortion. The volume culminates in a reflexive epistemology that integrates theory and praxis, addressing the ethical responsibilities inherent in systemic knowledge production. Together, the two volumes form a single conceptual arc: from foundational construction to applied integration, and from analytical differentiation back to reflective coherence. ITSS is intended not as a closed doctrine but as an open meta-paradigm—capable of diagnosing ideological systems, evaluating moral coherence, and re-establishing the conditions for meaningful understanding in a post-ideological age. “This work forms Volume I of Integrative Theoretical System Studies (ITSS): The Architecture of Coherence.”
