colorLatin: A Visual and Construction-Based Approach to Inductive Latin Grammar Learning
Abstract
This record presents colorLatin, an open pedagogical approach to Latin grammar learning based on visual encoding and constrained sentence construction. Grammatical functions are represented through color and spatial organization, allowing learners to assemble sentences as structured objects and to infer grammatical roles and endings inductively. The record includes two documents: (1) a short paper describing the method, its rationale, and its classroom use; and (2) original teaching materials developed around 2010, provided as historical documentation of the early form of the approach. The materials are shared to support reuse, adaptation, and further exploration in language education and related fields.
