The Unified Specification of Information Substrate Theory (IST)
Abstract
We present Information Substrate Theory (IST), a rigorous ontological framework that re- solves the incompatibilities between General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics by redefining spacetime not as a volumetric container, but as the emergent density of a folding 2-dimensional information lattice. We postulate that ”Volume” is an interference artifact generated by the recursive self-intersection of a non-orientable manifold (Topological Class: Klein Bottle Immer- sion). Within this ”Surface-Only” limit, we derive Gravity (G) as the computational latency of resolving topological folds and Consciousness as a necessary ”Recursive Awareness” mechanism required to prevent entropic signal quantization. This model offers falsifiable predictions for Vacuum Birefringence and Variable Gravitational Latency in cosmic voids
