Methodological Positioning of the Self-Matryoshka Analytical Framework (S-MAF): Scope, Status, and Analytical Limits
Abstract
This methodological note provides an explicit positioning of the Self-Matryoshka Analytical Framework (S-MAF) within the broader theoretical architecture of Self-Matryoshka Theory (SMT). It clarifies the framework’s analytical status, scope, and limits, with particular attention to distinctions between structure and orientation, analytical visibility and analytical absence, and methodological versus normative claims. SMT is presented as a meta-theoretical framework for layered professional reflection. Recognition-oriented theories inform SMT indirectly through their analytical integration within the Recognition–Reflection Framework, which functions both as an internal generative principle shaping the meta-theoretical organisation of SMT and as one of the analytically necessary rings within the S-MAF construction. The present text does not revise underlying theories and advances no empirical, evaluative, or prescriptive claims. No empirical material is analysed in this note. Any empirical material, where used in related works, is treated as illustrative rather than validating. The note is intended to function as a stable methodological reference accompanying existing and future applications of S-MAF, supporting consistent interpretation across contexts and reducing the risk of category errors in reception. Critical feedback, analytical objections, and constructive suggestions are explicitly welcomed as part of the framework’s continued refinement through external analytical use.
