Geometry-Conditioned Persistence of Superconducting Coherence in YBa2Cu3O7−δ
Abstract
High-temperature cuprate superconductors sustain phase-coherent transport under condi-tions of strong thermal, structural, and vibrational noise. While extensive work has focusedon pairing mechanisms and energetic considerations, these approaches do not fully explain therobustness and persistence of coherence observed in materials such as YBa2Cu3O7−δ . Here weexamine the role of lattice geometry and constraint architecture in conditioning which coherentquantum modes persist within a noisy environment. Without modifying established quantum orcondensed-matter theory, we show that geometric and boundary constraints act as admissibilityfilters that suppress competing decoherence channels prior to statistical averaging. This per-spective reframes superconducting robustness as a problem of coherence persistence governedby structure rather than energetic optimisation alone.
