Abstract

Self-Audit of Reality Is Not Rebellion. Can Math Perturb Truth? Scope and Boundary- "We do not math nor publish belief. Only empirical knowledge." This work treats all claims as inputs, not truths. Claims are evaluated only by how they behave under testing, boundary conditions, and perturbation. No belief, doctrine, or authority is asserted or required. Mathematics is used solely as a tool to perturb claims —to observe whether conclusions remain stable or fail under constraint. "Truth is provisional and conditional on what persists after testing." Self-audit of reality is not rebellion. It is how truth earns trust. Triadic Logic Receive → Test → Decide (route) — at light speed. This triad describes an empirical decision pipeline. “Decide” does not mean believe or disbelieve; it means route: keep, discard, or defer pending more data. Why Mathematics is a tool for exploring boundaries. As a logic engine applied to reality, math does not replace regency (what governs a region), and it does not declare truth. Instead, mathematics can be used to perturb facts, narratives, and opinions —revealing where they hold, where they shift, and where they fail. The Boundary Ladder A simple way to grade any statement: • Level 0 — Slogan: no definitions, no limits. • Level 1 — Story: mechanism without measurement. • Level 2 — Model: inputs and outputs named. • Level 3 — Boundary: where it works and where it fails. Closing Example: Water Has Three States Water is the same substance, yet behaves as three distinct regimes depending on boundary conditions. IF temperature and pressure place water in the liquid region, THEN it flows and supports chemistry. ELSE IF conditions place it in the solid region, THEN motion slows and reactions stall. ELSE IF conditions place it in the gas region, THEN dispersion dominates. The substance does not change. The behavior changes by region. The Same Statement, Written in Scientific Form Plain statement: Water exhibits different behaviors depending on conditions. Those behaviors are stable within regions and change at boundaries. Scientific encoding (instrumental): Let water be modeled as a one-component system parameterized by temperature T and pressure P. Define a regime mapping, not a truth declaration: Φ : (T, P) → { s, ℓ, g } where s = solid regime, ℓ = liquid regime, g = gas regime. This map does not assert what water is. It encodes which behavioral regime persists under given conditions. Boundary identification (not verdicts): Boundaries between regimes are identified where competing descriptions are equally admissible: μₐ(T,P) = μ_b(T,P) This equality marks a transition surface, not a command. On either side of the boundary, different behaviors persist. The location of these boundaries can be tracked using relations such as: dP/dT = Δs_ab / Δv_ab This relation maps where regimes change. It does not force the system to change. Why science writes it this way: • Explicit regions: Everyday language says “cold” or “hot”; science requires measurable coordinates. • Checkable boundaries: Regime change is defined by testable equality, not belief. • Transferability: The same boundary logic applies in labs, engines, clouds, and planets. • Process separation: A system may remain metastable even when a boundary is crossed, reinforcing that equations describe conditions, not outcomes. The substance does not change. The behavior changes by region. The region is governed by boundary conditions. Mathematics helps locate and probe those regions. It does not declare which regime reality must obey. "Math is a flashlight, not a verdict." (mkn 2026) This paper is FUNt-compatible in method: boundaries and perturbations are treated as the primary empirical test of where any claim holds. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17941109
