Cyclic Entropy Reset: A Geometric Resolution to the Heat Death Paradox via Information Saturation Constraints
Abstract
The Second Law of Thermodynamics predicts the inevitable “Heat Death” of the universe as entropymaximizes over time. However, this classical view assumes an infinite capacity for disorder. In this paper, we propose a novel cosmological mechanism: the Entropy Reset Protocol. Based onthe principle of “Information Saturation,” we demonstrate that spacetime has a finite storage limitfor entropic states. When the system reaches a critical disorder threshold (Ωcrit), a geometric phasetransition is triggered, effectively resetting the entropy to a low-energy state (S → 0). This mechanismsupports a Cyclic Universe model, avoiding the singularity of thermal equilibrium. Numericalsimulations of this protocol show a definitive “sawtooth” pattern of entropy buildup and collapse, offering a consistent solution to the paradox of eternal time versus finite energy.
