The Telescope Conjecture and Chromatic Redshift in Stable Homotopy Categories: A Transfinite Analysis
Abstract
We present a rigorous, transfinite extension of the Chro-matic Redshift machinery within the context of stable∞-categories, specifically addressing the failure of theTelescope Conjecture at heights n ≥ 2. By construct-ing a hyper-complete Redshift Operator R∞ acting onthe K(n)-local category, we demonstrate that the discrep-ancy between the finite localization Lf n and the Bousfieldlocalization Ln is detected by higher algebraic K-theorytraces. We establish eight fundamental lemmas regardingthe convergence of the transfinite Adams-Novikov spectralsequence in this setting, culminating in the TransfiniteChromatic Convergence Theorem. This work formalizesthe structural gap in the monochromatic layers via a non-trivial derived limit of redshifted spectra.
