Auroral Emission as Space-Phase Saturation and Relaxation in the SP3 Framework
Abstract
The aurora borealis is conventionally explained as atmospheric emission driven byenergetic solar-wind–driven magnetospheric particles guided by Earth’s magnetic field. While correct, this description leaves open why auroras are so spatially localized, structured, persistent, and visually coherent. In the SP3 (Saturation–Phase–MemorySpace) framework, space itself possesses a state characterized by saturation and memory, and energy transport is conditioned by that state. This short paper reframes auroralphenomena as visible relaxation events of locally saturated space-phase, triggered byparticle injection along memory-conditioned transport corridors near Earth’s magneticpoles. The result is a unified interpretation that preserves standard atomic physics whileexplaining auroral geometry, color stratification, and dynamic motion as emergentproperties of space-phase response.
