Beyond Knowledge Editing: Towards a Stratified Model of Cognitive Ontogenesis and Metacognitive Self-Resonance
Abstract
This theoretical contribution introduces a layered approach to knowledge architecture and self-adaptive cognition. Going beyond standard neural editing, it outlines a stratified model in which cognitive evolution is guided not only by error correction but by deeper self-structuring principles. A resonance-based layer is proposed to modulate coherence across symbolic, logical, and meta-referential domains. The framework suggests future directions for both human and artificial systems capable of sustained epistemic alignment.
