The European Alphabet. The Westan Script
Abstract
Abstract This paper presents the European Alphabet (Westan script), an experimental writing system proposed as a universal phonematic model for Indo-European and other languages. It is a logically structured and self-referential alphabet with its own numerical graphics, grounded in the principles of phonological symmetry and visual palindromicity. The concept of the script is centered on the integration of phonetic precision, cognitive economy, and aesthetic universality. Keywords European alphabet; Westan script; phonematic writing; universal orthography; palindromic design; phonological symmetry; experimental writing system; visual-phonetic correspondence.
