Abstract

de Sitter spacetime is the maximally symmetric vacuum solution of Einstein’s equations withpositive cosmological constant, and it possesses a cosmological event horizon with thermodynamic properties[?]. This note derives, from first principles, the D-dimensional horizon area in the static patch, relates it to Λ, and records the associated temperature and entropy.
