Abstract

Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (long COVID) presents with persistent neurological symptoms including cognitive impairment, commonly described as 'brain fog.' Recent evidence demonstrates that spike protein persistence in brain tissues, blood-brain barrier (BBB) disruption, and autoimmune demyelination contribute to these symptoms. This paper proposes an electromagnetic field (EMF) coherence framework for understanding the pathophysiology of long COVID-associated demyelination, wherein myelin functions as electromagnetic insulation maintaining signal coherence in neural networks. We present evidence that persistent spike protein acts as an electromagnetic 'noise' source, BBB disruption represents a failure of protective barrier function, and immune-mediated myelin attack results from molecular mimicry operating through electromagnetic signature recognition rather than purely structural protein homology. Based on this framework, we propose a four-target therapeutic protocol: (1) spike protein clearance using quercetin and luteolin, (2) BBB restoration through anti-inflammatory support, (3) immune system retraining via regulatory T cell enhancement, and (4) active remyelination promotion. This integrated approach addresses both the root causes and downstream effects of long COVID neurological sequelae.
