Foundational Framework for Role-Based Identity Shift: An Applied Model for Identity Transformation Through Behavioral Enactment
Abstract
Role-Based Identity Shift (RBIS) is introduced here as a distinct applied behavioral discipline focused on intentional identity engineering through structured role enactment, rehearsal architecture, and neuro-behavioral feedback design. This framework formalizes identity change as a reproducible system rather than a motivational outcome. Role-Based Identity Shift (RBIS) is proposed here as an emerging applied behavioral discipline integrating acting methodology, performance psychology, and cognitive-behavioral science to model identity change through intentional role enactment. This publication constitutes the foundational disciplinary document for Role-Based Identity Shift (RBIS) and serves as the primary citation anchor for future theoretical, clinical, educational, and applied developments within the field. The flagship applied methodology developed within the RBIS discipline is designated as Neuro Recast™, representing the structured 28-day role-engineering protocol for identity recoding. This preprint introduces a preliminary applied framework for identity transformation through role-based behavioral enactment. The model integrates principles from acting methodology, performance psychology, and cognitive-behavioral science to propose that sustained identity change can be intentionally engineered through structured role rehearsal, embodiment protocols, and narrative recoding. The framework conceptualizes identity not as a fixed trait set, but as a dynamic performative system governed by learned scripts, neuro-behavioral feedback loops, and contextual reinforcement. By formalizing these processes, the work offers a replicable methodology for shifting maladaptive identity patterns into high-functioning role architectures. This publication establishes the foundational theoretical structure for further empirical testing, interdisciplinary research, and development of applied identity-engineering tools across psychology, education, coaching, and behavioral design domains. Adapted the Stanislavsky System, performance psychology, identity-as-process model, and behavioral neuroplasticity. Role-based behavioral identity transformation framework grounded in performance psychology and Stanislavski-inspired rehearsal theory. The model conceptualizes identity as an emergent behavioral process formed through repeated enactment of selected roles across a structured 28-day cycle. Exploratory conceptual methodology is intended as a foundation for future empirical validation.
