Potential for 1,000 K Low-Temperature Nuclear Fusion via Coulomb Barrier Reduction
Abstract
Short version. The reduction of the Coulomb barrier could potentially eliminate the necessity for extremely high temperatures of approximately 100 million K in nuclear fusion processes. In the present proposal, the possibility of low-temperature nuclear fusion at approximately 1,000 K is examined by reducing the Coulomb barrier using intermittent direct current electric fields.
