Information Processing Rate Conservation as the Origin of Relativistic Kinematics
Abstract
We present a fundamental breakthrough where the postulates of special relativity—time dilation, length contraction, and the constancy of light speed—emerge not as axioms, but as consequences of a single, deeper principle: the conservation of information processing rate (IPRC). In our Cosmic Holographic Dynamics framework, spacetime is an emergent property of a quantum information network. This theory makes a specific, testable prediction for Planck-scale physics: a universal parameter ξ = -0.95 ± 0.03 that quantifies energy-dependent speed-of-light variation. Our prediction is supported by tensor network simulations and can be directly tested with time-of-flight measurements of high-energy photons from gamma-ray bursts using existing and next-generation observatories. This work establishes a new paradigm that unifies quantum information theory, fundamental physics, and observational astrophysics.
