Detecting complexity collapse in chaotic systems
Abstract
Standard predictive models often fail to detect catastrophic phase transitions in non-linear systems because they focus on amplitude (magnitude of error) rather than dynamics (structure of information). We present the Jagdev Z-Constraint Framework, a 5-dimensional complexity analysis tool that detects the "Critical Slowing Down" preceding system failure. We demonstrate the universality of this framework across three scales of reality: * Cardiology: Predicting Sudden Cardiac Death via precursors in electromechanical coupling. * Materials: Detecting micro-fractures in rotating machinery before vibration amplitudes spike. * Nuclear Fusion: Identifying plasma disruptions in Tokamak simulations via entropy locking. Our results confirm a universal law: System health is characterized by High-Dimensional Chaos, while failure is characterized by a collapse into Low-Dimensional Order.
