Abstract

A Causal Framework for Civilizational Formation, Collapse, and Transition 1. Primary Causal Necessity Any rigorous causal analysis must begin with the acknowledgment of a primary causal necessity (the existence of a superior architect of existence, which religions refer to as God). This is not a theological assertion, but a logical requirement: without an initial cause, no coherent causal chain can be constructed. Empirical science, due to its methodological limits, is neither capable of proving nor disproving this primary cause; therefore, its denial lacks rational justification. 2. Nature and Immutable Laws Nature operates as a law-governed system created by this superior architect, functioning through stable and immutable laws (such as gravity). These laws form the structural backbone of causality and continuity within the universe. 3. The Material Origin of the Universe Within the domain of empirical science, the material trajectory of the universe begins with the Big Bang. This event marks the emergence of matter and energy under pre-existing natural laws. 4. Human Emergence Within this lawful system, life develops, and humans emerge through biological evolution. Humans remain part of nature while simultaneously possessing cognitive capacities to perceive and analyze causal relationships. 5. Survival-Centered Nature Nature is fundamentally structured around survival and competition. In its raw form, it is indifferent, harsh, and constantly threatens the continuity of human existence. 6. Rational Departure from Pure Nature To ensure collective survival, humans are compelled to transcend purely instinctual competition and consciously construct cooperative rules and constraints. 7. Ethics At this stage, ethics emerges as a survival-oriented framework. Ethics represents the rational alignment of individual behavior with collective survival interests. 8. Religion Across history, and depending on time, geography, and culture, ethical frameworks become codified as religious doctrines. Religion thus represents a historical and symbolic manifestation of survival-based ethics. 9. Government To enforce these doctrines, governance structures emerge. Government serves as the executive instrument of religious law; religious law is derived from ethics; and ethics is rooted in biological survival. 10. Civilizational Collapse The Collapse of a Civilization What is visible to most observers is only the tip of the iceberg. The deeper causes lie beneath the surface. 1. Worldview and false beliefs 2. Corrupt thoughts, speech, and actions (wrong policies) 3. Ineffective institutions and budget-consuming organizations 4. Rent-seeking and corruption within the system 5. Budget deficit 6. Liquidity creation (high-powered money and the money multiplier) 7. Inflation and rising prices 8. Unemployment and poverty 9. Social harms 10. Social collapse 11. Causal Interpretation This causal chain demonstrates that phenomena such as poverty, inflation, and social breakdown are not root causes but downstream consequences. Without correcting the foundational layers, surface-level interventions remain ineffective. 12. The Necessity of Civilizational Transition Escaping this trajectory requires a gradual and rational transition from ideology-driven civilizations based on distortion and illusion toward a civilization grounded in biological reality and causal coherence. 13. Angelism as a Paradigmatic Reference Within this context, Angelism is introduced as a comprehensive civilizational paradigmatic framework. Its theoretical structure is logically closed and causally coherent, while its practical implementation is explicitly human, empirical, error-prone, reformable, and evolutionary in nature.
