Clarifying Mechanism: Independent Anchor Suppression (IAS) (Ambience Violence Indicator (AVI) Framework – Identity Differentiation & Persona Enforcement)
Abstract
This mechanism clarifies how coercive control operates without creating dependence, by instead suppressing the victim’s pre-existing autonomy anchor. IAS explains cases where the perpetrator does not need to install meaning, belief, or identity, but instead neutralises what already protects the victim from capture.
