Retrograde rotation of Venus
Abstract
AbstractThis paper proposes a fundamental revision of celestial mechanics based on the author's Flow Theory. Space is treated not as a physical vacuum, but as an ultra-dense medium \(S\). Evidence is presented that gravitational interaction is the result of external medium pressure (the shielding effect). Furthermore, it is demonstrated that the anomalous rotational characteristics of Venus and Triton are caused by the formation of reverse vortex currents within the "wake" of central bodies moving through the Galactic medium flow. 1. Introduction: The Concept of Medium SModern astrophysics faces a range of anomalies that lack concise explanations within the classical framework. Flow Theory asserts that the Solar System is a cavitational structure moving within the vector of the Galactic flow of the dense medium \(S\). In this dynamic system, massive bodies act as hydrodynamic obstructions. 2. Gravity as a Pressure GradientThe traditional concept of "attraction" is replaced by the concept of "external pushing" (compression).Mechanics: Gravitational interaction between bodies arises due to the shielding of the \(S\)-medium flow.Experimental Confirmation: The Allais Effect (the shift in the plane of pendulum oscillations during an eclipse) is a direct registration of the pressure drop in the shielding zone (shadow) created by the Moon for the flow originating from the Sun. The pendulum reacts to a change in the external pressure vector. 3. Hydrodynamic Inversion: The Case of Venus and TritonThe retrograde rotation of Venus and Triton is viewed as a result of scaling the same physical process — the formation of a backflow behind an obstruction in a stream.Venus: Located in close proximity to the Sun (the primary obstruction in the Galactic flow), Venus falls into a zone of turbulent inversion. The reverse vortex in the Sun's "shadow" leads to the axial tilt of the planet and its retrograde rotation. This is a stationary state of the system determined by the constant pressure of the medium.Triton (Moon of Neptune): The process is fractally scaled at the level of the Neptune system. Neptune acts as a secondary obstruction within the solar vortex. Triton, positioned in the low-pressure zone behind Neptune, is captured by the backflow, explaining its retrograde orbital motion. 4. Fractal Analysis and the 1:10 ScaleA strict engineering symmetry is observed: the "Neptune–Triton" pair is a fractal copy of the "Sun–Venus" pair. Flow Theory unifies these anomalies into a single law of interaction between bodies and the medium, eliminating the need for hypotheses involving accidental collisions.
