Abstract

We present a constraint-first synthesis unifying physics, thermodynamics, biology, and consciousness under a single market-based framework. Treating the universe as an energy market and nature as its host infrastructure, we show that apparent physical “limitations” — uncertainty, complementarity, entanglement, and measurement — function as architectural features rather than deficiencies. These features prevent trivial determinism, enable interaction through temporary energy credit, preserve global relational integrity, and require agent participation for reality to settle into experience. Biological life is identified as a long-running energy arbitrage process, evolution as the most successful trading algorithm in history, and consciousness as the inevitable rendering constraint that converts an otherwise unparsed physical field into a usable world. We conclude that meaning and purpose are not properties of the universe itself but interpretive necessities for agents operating under entropy-governed constraints. This work closes a foundational loop between physical law and lived experience without invoking metaphysical assumptions.
