Cepheids, Thermally-Pulsing AGB Stars and RR Lyrae Variables: Cornerstones to the E/G Distance Scale
Abstract
I will review the current status of Cepheids, Thermally-Pulsating JAGB/Carbon stars and RR Lyrae variables, in the context of establishing a coherent, accurate and precise extragalactic distance scale. Recent advances will be presented and remaining challenges will be highlighted.
