Abstract

We extend a coherent waveguide framework to magnetically confined fusion, re-casting the plasma edge and reactor wall as a single, macroscopic system. CurrentMHD/turbulence models treat Edge-Localized Modes (ELMs) as stochastic, ther-mal instabilities. We redefine them as decoherence events: a catastrophic fail-ure of the plasma’s coherent flow. We propose ELMs can be replaced by a stable,”phase-managed release” by using engineered ”curvature generators” (κ) to create a”gravito-like potential” (Φef f ). This creates a non-thermal, topological ”mode-splitting” gate analogous to a non-thermal ”bridge” (Ea ≈ 0) dynamically provenin quantum biology. This framework, rooted in the foundational geometric physics of Einstein, Car-tan, Penrose, and Rosen, redefines the fusion challenge. It posits that classicalMHD/turbulence models are fundamentally flawed. This is not an engi-neering problem, but a misdiagnosed physical one. We propose ELM-free stabilityis only achievable by abandoning the thermal-suppression paradigm and engineer-ing a non-thermal, coherent ”mode-splitting” gate, a mechanism first proven inquantum biology.
