Structural Admissibility of the Big Ring and Giant Arc
Abstract
Recent observations of large-scale cosmic coherence patterns, notably the Big Ring and Giant Arc, have prompted discussion regarding potential challenges to standard assumptions of large-scale homogeneity. This note demonstrates that, under a structure-first framework, such features are not anomalous or forbidden. Instead, they are structurally admissible coherence patterns that arise naturally once homogeneity is treated as a regime-dependent outcome rather than a global constraint.Once structure is treated as primary, the question of whether a structure is ‘allowed’ answers itself.
