(GQR24) GQR–STO-3G Decrypts Fe–S Catalysis: QED Curvature–Information Traps, Velcro Qubits, and the Shield-Law Architecture of Enzyme Inhibition.
Abstract
Iron–sulfur (Fe–S) clusters act not merely as redox cofactors but as quantum-elasticcurvature engines whose catalytic behaviour depends on the dynamic formation andannihilation of curvature traps in the electron-density Laplacian (STO-3G). Using theGated Quantum Resonator (GQR-TDSE) framework, we show that a single curvature-information law unifies four distinct domains: (i) metal × shape curvature landscapesin heterogeneous catalysis, (ii) stretch-mode resonance in Fe2S2, (iii) the full 6-memberFe4S4/Fe3S4 IspG (industrial terpenoid) reaction coordinate (4S38 → 4S3D → 4S3F),and (iv) a nine-member alt Fe4S4 IspH (pathogen) series subjected to controlled shear.Across all systems, active Fe–S clusters display mixed-sign ∆teeth(∆r) resonancebands in the 30–280 THz window and large HOMO (highest occupied molecular or-bital) migrations, whereas inhibitor-bound or Fe-loss states exhibit curvature-trap col-lapse: uniformly negative trap differentials, flattened curvature combs, and frozenfrontier-orbital density. Perhaps remarkably, in IspG and IspH alike, the bona fide cat-alytic intermediates show the strongest curvature asymmetry, while inhibitors convergeon complete suppression of curvature-trap dynamics, identifying curvature divergenceas a mechanistic marker of catalytic readiness.Within this framework, curvature traps behave as elastic information bits thatencode a cryptic curvature hash of the Fe–S environment. Under the Shield Law,which couples curvature, coherence, and tunnelling, these elastic bits consolidate intooperative qubits controlling catalytic information flow. Viewed through this quantum-informational lens, Fe–S catalysis emerges as a curvature-encoded cipher that must bedynamically decrypted, and inhibition as its targeted failure mode. This opens entirelynew vistas in enzymology, crystallographic 3D analysis, and thus these proofs heraldboth drug design and industrial catalytic economic revolution via leveraging modern databases (e.g. CSD, COD, RPDB) with widely economically-affordable and trustedtechnology.Impact. This study introduces the first dynamic, multiscale Laplacian-topology methodfor enzyme mechanistic analysis, revealing catalytic intermediates and inhibitor collapsedirectly from curvature-trap dynamics.Basically: Drug binding disables Fe–S catalysis by collapsing curvature traps andquenching the vibrational gating modes essential for function.
