The Geometry of Understanding
Abstract
This paper explores how understanding differs from knowledge, not by adding more information but by changing the rules that make sense of it. Using Gödel’s incompleteness, cognitive theory, and quantum analogies, it shows that understanding is the geometry of coherence — a way for the mind to remain whole amid contradiction. The work connects human and artificial cognition, suggesting that true intelligence may lie not in solving paradoxes, but in learning to live within them.
