Abstract

IVF outcomes are routinely observed but rarely explained. Embryo transfers are typically reported as successful or unsuccessful without a formal causal attribution. This document introduces the Outcome Attribution Algorithm (OAA), a deterministic classification algorithm designed to explain why an embryo transfer succeeded or failed. OAA does not predict pregnancy, assign probabilities, rank embryos, or introduce new measurements. Instead, it deterministically combines existing Predictive Bioharmonics outputs—embryo stability, event admissibility, and temporal compatibility—with the observed implantation outcome. Each transfer is assigned exactly one causal class explaining implantation or non-implantation. The algorithm is deterministic, reproducible, and non-probabilistic, and serves as a post-hoc explanatory and audit layer for IVF outcomes. No claims of empirical proof or predictive certainty are made.
