Emergent Computational Architecture via Topological Potential Design: A New Paradigm for Next-Generation Semiconductor Design and Problem Generation
Abstract
This paper proposes a new computational architecture that transforms computers from devices that optimize and produce answers into systems that autonomously generate new problems and structures. Instead of conventional energy-minimization designs aimed at a single optimal solution, it dynamically constructs topological potential landscapes with multiple metastable states, allowing unknown structures and scientific questions to emerge through the relaxation process. By incorporating human intervention and safety constraints, the framework enables explainable and collaborative exploration in semiconductor and materials research.
