SARA (Simulation-based Admittance Response Analysis): A MATLAB/Simulink Tool for AC/DC Admittance Measurement
Abstract
SARA (Simulation-based Admittance Response Analysis) is a MATLAB/Simulink software tool for obtaining the frequency-domain characterisation of AC/DC small-signal admittance matrices of electrical devices directly from time-domain simulations. SARA performs automated frequency sweeping with controlled perturbation injections—positive-sequence, negative-sequence, and DC—and applies FFT-based phasor extraction to reconstruct AC-side, DC-side, and AC/DC coupling terms using a unified pn-sequence formulation. The tool is compatible with any Simulink-based electrical device, ranging from detailed white-box models to protected industrial black-box blocks. This repository contains: SARA.rar: A compressed archive including the SARA software package and a complete illustrative application example. SARA_User_Tutorial.pdf: A user-oriented guide describing the basic operation and workflow of SARA. Video tutorial: Available at the following YouTube link --> https://youtu.be/iab96_tJEt4. SARA_Cartiel_Sainz_Monjo_Mesas_Pedra.pdf: Conference paper manuscript. SARA_Theoretical_Fundamentals.pdf: A technical document outlining the dq-complex and pn-sequence theoretical foundations required to understand the modelling framework underlying SARA.
