Resolution of the Navier-Stokes Existence and Smoothness Problem in Fractal Compact Manifold Theory: Detailed Derivations and Explanations
Abstract
This paper resolves the Navier-Stokes (NS) existence and within Fractal Compact Manifold Theory (FCMT), a unified framework integrating quantum mechanics and gravity via atemporal symmetry breaking in multifractal configuration space. By embedding NS equations timelessly, we demonstrate global smooth solutions for arbitrary smooth initial data in 3D, leveraging multifractal regularization and renormalization group flows to bound enstrophy and tame singularities without explicit time evolution. The scale-dependent Hausdorff dimension dH(k)=2+2+γ(k)1+(k/μ)αd_H(k) = 2 + \frac{2 + \gamma(k)}{1 + (k/\mu)^\alpha}dH(k)=2+1+(k/μ)α2+γ(k) (with γ(k)≈0.01exp(−(k/μ))\gamma(k) \approx 0.01 \exp(-(k/\mu))γ(k)≈0.01exp(−(k/μ)), α≈2\alpha \approx 2α≈2) damps high-wavenumber modes, ensuring finite computations and regularity in turbulent regimes. Detailed derivations, including timeless constraints ∇dH2Ψ+VeffΨ=0\nabla_{d_H}^2 \Psi + V_{\text{eff}} \Psi = 0∇dH2Ψ+VeffΨ=0 and Geometric Algebra treatments, yield enstrophy bounds Ω≤Cν−1exp(−ΔdH)\Omega \leq C \nu^{-1} \exp(-\Delta d_H)Ω≤Cν−1exp(−ΔdH), aligning quantitatively with empirical turbulence data. FCMT's approach illuminates intermittency's role in fostering smoothness: chaotic eddies populate scales, while dimensional contraction reconstructs order. Falsifiable predictions include finite enstrophy in high-Re flows, with boundary disruptions loosening bounds (e.g., 15–25% higher local fluctuations), testable via particle image velocimetry. Alignments with 2025 advances in multifractal NS and MHD turbulence underscore FCMT's versatility, bridging fundamental physics to engineering. This standalone exposition, with reproducible Python simulations, invites empirical validation while highlighting turbulence as self-regularizing through scale adaptation.
