Abstract

Self Process Dynamics Halted is a theoretical preprint examining the distinction between a halted process and an erased one, within the context of subjective self-process continuity. The paper clarifies the conceptual difference between continuation along the same causal path and the initiation of a new path after a halt, without proposing any protocol, technique, or practical method. The focus is strictly conceptual: separating what is impossible in principle from what may be allowed by physical law but difficult in practice. This work does not claim feasibility, implementation, or verification, and is intended to cleanly frame the problem space and prevent common misreadings in philosophical and physical discussions of process continuity.
