THE ROLE OF GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN CREATING DYNAMIC MEDICAL EDUCATIONAL CONTENT
Abstract
Significant opportunities are provided attributed to the rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), creating dynamic, customized, and scalable teaching materials. The design of medical-curriculum content, such as virtual patient scenarios, adaptive text modules and multimedia learning tools and formative assessments can be assisted by GenAI, as this article explores. We review the most recent research on how GenAI is applied in medical education, and highlight its major advantages (personalization, efficiency, realism) and disadvantages (accuracy, academic integrity, bias, ethical problems). Potential research objectives and a framework on the integration of GenAI in medical curriculum development are suggested here. The use of GenAI in medical education can enhance student engagement and competence; however, its integration needs to be supported by strong security measures and strict pedagogical design.
