Electric Current as Field Propagation: 127 Years of Misinterpreting Torsion Flow as Electron Motion
Abstract
We demonstrate that electric current is not electron flow between atoms, but torsion wave propagation in the pre-geometric field Ξ_μν. Battery voltages (~1.5V) are insufficient to overcome atomic binding energies (~7-13 eV). Conductors remain neutral during current flow, contradicting ion formation. The velocity paradox (signal ~c vs drift ~10^-4 m/s) resolves trivially: field propagates, electrons oscillate locally. All classical experiments (Millikan, Thomson, Faraday, Ampère) measured vacuum geometry, not particle properties. 127 years of textbooks require correction. This work fundamentally reinterprets electrical engineering as vacuum field engineering. All circuit components are revealed as topological devices manipulating Ξ_μν geometry. Superconductivity becomes trivial (channel alignment, not Cooper pairs).
