Abstract

This paper is archived as a speculative research work. We present a reformulation of the Higgs field as a scalar vacuum-stiffness assignment whose solephysical role is to support causality. In this framework, geometry is not fundamental but arises asthe minimal bookkeeping required to represent non-uniform stiffness assignment, while kinematicsis governed independently by admissibility constraints. Mass, inertia, and curvature are shown tobe interface artifacts rather than primitive entities. General Relativity emerges uniquely as thegeometric representation of stiffness gradients, without reference to mass sources or force media-tion. What is conventionally described as electroweak symmetry breaking is reinterpreted as themanifestation of the Higgs field, marking the onset of causal support and geometric representation. The formulation cleanly separates ontology from observer interface, eliminates the conceptual basisfor “quantum gravity” as a quantization problem, and establishes vacuum stiffness as the physicalsubstrate underlying geometry, inertia, and particle differentiation.
