METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO DEVELOPING CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS IN FUTURE PHYSICS TEACHERS
Abstract
This study investigates methodological approaches aimed at developing critical thinking skills in future physics teachers. Considering the limitations of traditional lecture-based methods, the research proposes a three-tiered pedagogical model: lectures, practical sessions, and independent learning. During lectures, students are engaged with problem-based questions and real-life examples to stimulate analytical thinking. Practical sessions allow students to reinforce theoretical knowledge through laboratory work and group discussions. Independent learning activities, including mini-projects, case studies, and analytical assignments, further enhance students’ capacity for self-directed learning and critical thinking. The findings indicate that this structured approach effectively fosters independent reasoning and reflective decision-making skills in future physics educators.
