Abstract

Dialogue on Chess – Part 1 A philosophical dialogue exploring the game of chess not as a mere intellectual contest, but as a microcosm of reality, a training ground for ontological perception, and a living interface between human intuition and formal systems. Through a Socratic exchange, the interlocutors uncover how the rules, positions, and moves of chess encode deep structural principles that mirror those of cognition, time, and agency. This text applies the Property Method to deconstruct the "objecthood" of the chessboard, revealing it as a dynamic field of contextual ontological regimes (ChOR→∞) where pieces gain meaning only through relational positioning and potential action. 🔗 Read the essay: Dialogue-on-Chess-Part-1.pdf 🔖 DOI: [will be assigned upon Zenodo release] Author: Serge Magomet (aka Aimate) Project: Ontology Lab Date: January 2026 License: CC BY-SA 4.0
