Abstract

Dark-Matter-Live is a collaborative framework for building and providing interactive visualisations of published experimental and observational constraints on dark-matter modelsDark matter studies and search results published by experimental, collider, and cosmological communities are frequently reported using different conventions, units, and parameterisations. Limits may appear as bounds on cross-sections, event rates, branching fractions, effective couplings, or model-specific parameters (e.g., kinetic mixing, mediator couplings, or axion–photon couplings). As global limit plots grow increasingly busy, these differences make results harder to reinterpret, maintain, and visualise coherently. Dark-Matter-Live addresses this by reinterpreting and renormalising incoming results and mapping them onto a consistent, model-aware parameter space. Where possible, published limits are re-expressed in standard coupling and mass variables used by the broader community (following widely adopted conventions, including those used in Beyond Collider classifications and related literature). The framework records original sources, translation assumptions, and caveats so displayed curves remain traceable. To lower the barrier to contribution, the project provides a simple, validated data-submission workflow based on CSV curve data and JSON metadata, supported by automated checks to help ensure reproducibility and reliability. New exclusion or projection curves can be added via pull requests, and the public codebase supports transparency and longevity.
