AGRONOMIC AND ECONOMIC EFFECTIVENESS OF INTRODUCING DROUGHT-RESISTANT CEREAL CROP VARIETIES
Abstract
Drought is one of the most critical constraints affecting global cereal production, leading to reduced yields, economic losses, and declining food security, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions. The introduction of drought-resistant cereal crop varieties has emerged as a key strategy to mitigate the adverse impacts of water scarcity and climate variability. This study evaluates the agronomic performance and economic effectiveness of adopting drought-resistant cereal varieties compared to traditional varieties.
