Effective Dimensionality in Refractive Lattice Cosmology A Formal Derivation and Analysis of the Phase–Stiffness Function $H(phi, n)$
Abstract
In Bulk Network Cosmology (BNC), existence is not a fixed 3-dimensional entity but an effective dimensional structure that dynamically fluctuates between 3D and 4D. This paper provides the mathematical formalization of the "Phase–Stiffness Function" $H(\phi, n)$, which constitutes the foundation of BNC’s existence ontology and quantum transport theory. By analyzing the closure degree $C[\rho]$, existence phase $\phi$, and refractive index field $n(x,t)$, we demonstrate that fermionic existence undergoes a dimensional transition cycle of 3D → 3.4D → 4D → 3D during transport processes. We present three main theorems establishing that a time-averaged effective dimension of approximately 3.4D emerges naturally from physically realistic parameters and remains stable under environmental perturbations. Furthermore, this geometric framework provides a novel reinterpretation of quantum entanglement and wave-particle duality as manifestations of higher-dimensional locality. This work bridges the gap between quantum mechanics and cosmology through the lens of dynamical geometry.
