Contextual Fixed-Point Semantics and the Karimi–Baghmaleki Theory of Truth A Foundational Framework for Self-Reference in Formal Logic
Abstract
This paper introduces a new foundational framework for formal truth, called Karimi–Baghmaleki Contextual Fixed-Point Logic (KB-CFPL). The theory defines truth not as a global valuation but as a stable fixed point of a context-dependent semantic operator. Unlike classical hierarchical approaches and Kripkean partial semantics, KB-CFPL provides a uniform and non-trivial treatment of self-referential sentences while remaining conservative over classical first-order logic. Existence, monotonicity, and conservativity theorems are established, and semantic paradoxes are shown to correspond to stable indeterminacy rather than inconsistency.
