A Composite Study on the Eco-Friendly Home Construction Mixture Using Cow Dung, Cow Urine, Clay & Natural Additives
Abstract
In recent years, eco-friendly construction materials have gained global attention due to their sustainability, thermal efficiency, health benefits, and low environmental footprint. India’s traditional earthen construction system, which extensively uses cow dung, cow urine, clay, lime, natural fibres, and herbal additives, represents a powerful model of sustainable architecture. This composite study explores the composition, preparation method, structural properties, applications, and ecological impact of an eco-friendly construction mixture based on indigenous knowledge and contemporary scientific analysis. The research integrates perspectives from environmental engineering, microbiology, vernacular architecture, and yoga–naturopathy to highlight the unique advantages of bio-enhanced earthen mixtures.
